2016 Kia Sorento Review. If you are looking for an affordable SUV that drives and rides well then look no further than the 2016 Kia Sorento. We had the opportunity to test drive this vehicle for a week and it was awesome! Now let me start by saying I am a VAN girl. I love my van and would never consider an SUV – well until now that is. My husband I both fell in love with the Kia Sorento. Not only is it one of the Best Value in SUVs on the market, the 2016 Kis Sorento received the NHTSA 5-STAR Safety Rating. When it comes to carrying my precious cargo, I am always looking at the safety records.
2016 Kia Sorento Review:
The completely redesigned 2016 Sorento CUV raises the bar in a traditionally utilitarian segment with its refinement and first-class amenities. Available with an advanced All Wheel Drive (AWD) system and up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity, the new Sorento rides on a 3.1-inch lengthened wheelbase, which allows more room for passengers and cargo. We couldn’t believe how much luggage room and leg room there was in this Kia.
The standard premium features and luxurious appointments span the line of five trim levels, and the Sorento is now offered with three engine choices, including a 2.4-liter inline-four cylinder, a new 240-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-charged inline-four and a powerful 3.3-liter V6 producing 290 horsepower. The all-new Sorento offers a wide array of available driver-aid technology including Surround View Monitor2, Smart Cruise Control2, Blind Spot Detection2 and Lane Departure Warning2.
This is a beautifully redesigned SUV that is packed with premium materials and amenities. My husband loved that it offers more headroom and legroom in all three rows and is capable enough to handle any adventure-seeker’s lifestyle. It is perfect for towing (a boat or your kids) and if you are an on-the-go Mom like me then you will surly fall in love!

We loved the dual AC and Heat, XM Radio and the GPS system. These made our road trip more enjoyable and a breeze because each of us could be comfortable and we had amazing tunes to listen too! Best off all there was plenty of trunk space for our luggage, headroom and legroom and the vehicle handled well on the interstate. Even though it is an SUV it is easy to park. We love how easy it was to drive and that you could see out of it with no issues. Hard to believe but both my husband and I are considering a Kia Sorento for our next purchase! Now that is saying a lot for a van girl to consider that!

Oh my gosh this looks like the perfect SUV for road trips! We are always on the go and having a car with ample leg room and suitcase room for our trips. I love the out side and the color of the car as well, very stylish!
Nice looking car. I have seen the Kia Sorento around, but I have not seen the interior. I love the roomy compartment; just perfect for road trips. I also love that it has a big head and leg rooms. I would definitely consider this when its for us to buy a new car.
Kia is really stepping up their game! I remember several years back when they were a no name company that had sub-par cars. Now, they have some of the best looking vehicles out on the road. Tunk space is essential. I like how this car has a lot of it. As a frequent road tripper, I need all the space I can get. Thanks for sharing!
This is a great looking SUV. I love how it is functional but still looks “cool”, us moms need to keep our cool factor as long as we can. Looks like plenty of room for all the baseball stuff we carry around all summer as well.
Wow, I would never have thought there would be that much cargo room. Cargo room is an absolute must with kids! I also love the extra head room and leg room. It really comes in handy when you are tall like me! This is a good looking SUV.
I love a vehicle that has a lot of trunk or cargo space. We go bike-riding and to be able to put 2 mountain bikes in the back without much hassle is very convenient for us. I like the color of this Sorrento – it’s actually the same as my alma mater. GPS and XM radio are also features that we’d like in a new vehicle.
I have loved many of the vehicles that Kia has come out with. The Sorento looks like it would be perfect for our summer road trips. With our family we are always looking for something with adequate trunk/cargo space.
It must have been fun to test drive the kia. I’m not a massive fan of vans, but I defiantly prefer big cars as well! I want to be able to stuff it with pretty much everything and still have plenty of space for myself. The Kia had a surprisingly large cargo space.
