Thanksgiving Fruit and Cheese Turkey
I am in love with this Thanksgiving Fruit and Cheese Turkey! This is not only a delicious and healthy appetizer but fun for the kids!
A less “filling” and healthy appetizer to have out while Thanksgiving Dinner is cooking that won’t ruin your Thanksgiving appetite. My friend Jennie posted this creation on her Facebook wall that her sister Jean made and I asked if I could share it with you! You could easily use a variety of fruits and cheeses to suit your family. The sky is the limit with your creativity and personal preferences. It is a great centerpiece and yummy to nosh on all at the same time.
Thanksgiving Fruit and Cheese Turkey:

Directions:
Jean used wooden skewers and added two varieties of cheese cubes, cherry tomatoes and sweet pickle cubes. I love how cute this Thanksgiving Fruit and Cheese Turkey turned out!
She used a uncooked butternut squash to create the turkey body and sweet potato for its face. She used a cheese cube for the nose, a red pepper for the gobbler and sweet pickles for the eyes and attached with toothpicks! She even made feet out of red peppers! So cute and festive! Her entire family loved it and requested it again next year. What a healthy treat and fun to enjoy.
She did say that you should not assemble if transporting but make on site of the location where Thanksgiving Dinner is occurring. In addition she made Acorn Cookies and scattered them around the tray. We love to make these no bake cookies – they are so much for the kids!
I love how this Thanksgiving Fruit and Cheese Turkey appetizer turned out! It is such a healthy and delicious snack to serve on Thanksgiving Day!
