Solar Eclipse Survival Kit

Check out this Solar Eclipse Survival Kit. It is not every day that you see a Solar Eclipse. It has been the much anticipated and talked about topic of conversation for weeks! In fact, most schools are “off” of school today so that kids can watch the eclipse with their parents. I decided in the spirit of the Solar Eclipse to gather as many “eclipse themed” snacks as possible for our enjoyment while we view the solar eclipse 2017.

Solar Eclipse Survival Kit:

I found all of these items at my local convenient stores. I paid a little more for them possibly, but I thought it was worth having them on hand today as we watch the solar eclipse.

Eclipse Themed Snacks:

  • Starburst
  • Moon Pie
  • Sun Chips
  • Sunkist
  • Sunny D
  • Milky Way
  • Cosmic Brownie
  • Eclipse Gum
  • Star Crunch Bar

Other fun items to have on hand would be glow bracelets and glow necklaces. Of course, the most important item is your approved Solar Eclipse glasses.  I thought I would share with you some photos from our solar eclipse viewing today.

Club Car Onward - Solar Eclipse 2017

We took our Onward by Club Car to view the solar eclipse.  It was the perfect ride to experience it in! We refer to it as our “bat mobile”.  We are in love with it and will be sharing more with you soon!

I hope you enjoy the solar eclipse and this fun Solar Eclipse survival kit.  It will be something you could use if you are planning a birthday party with a galaxy theme for sure!

Disclosure:  Club Car provided our Onward for use.  All opinions are 100% our own.

  1. Looks like you’ve got all the bases covered with your suggestions for a solar eclipse survival kit. I love the idea of keeping the snacks in the theme, very clever. Thanks for sharing them.

  2. I agree…very clever theme! I never really put much thought into any kind of ‘survival’ pack! I have friends who stock up on water, canned food, etc all the time. I should be taking notes lol

  3. When we celebrated the Solar eclipse at my kids school we did some of these similar things for the kids to have some snacks that day. It was such a fun theme. I hope one day we can actually see a total eclipse with the kids. I think they would get a kick out of it.

  4. Hope you had a great time out at the Solar Eclipse. I know that my daughter and I had such a good time going out there and seeing it. In fact, my daughter just took out the sunglasses yesterday. It was a fun event and so nice to do something with so many other people seeing something so unique.

  5. Wish I had those glasses during the eclipse! Very cool! I like the list of snacks you had too! I love moon pies! We had great fun during the day and loved feeling how cold it got too! Amazing!
