It may not be eye appealing once cooked, but it does taste amazing! I have always loved french onion soup and this combo with chicken is so good! I prepared this freezer meal in an afternoon when doing 15 crockpot freezer meals for my family’s dinners. With back to school activities in full swing, I wanted to make a bunch of prep ahead meals that I could make for my family.
I got busy finding and creating recipes so I could take an afternoon and have meals ready to go for my family. This chicken crockpot recipe has been one of my personal favorites out of the slow cooker meals and will be added to my regular menu meals. I served the delicious Slow Cooker French Onion Chicken Freezer Meal Recipe with buttered rice. I used my 6 QT Green Bay Packers crockpot because I am a cheese head, loud and proud. What brand of French Onion soup did you use? We don’t have any available in a 15 oz size.
Campbell’s. I used 1 1/2 cans.
Wish the shopping list said to buy 2 just saw this now and only had 10 oz. 🙁
How many pounds of chicken is 4 to 6 breasts in this recipe? You use 4 to 6 in most of your chicken recipes and I’m not sure how much that is…
Normally 4 chicken breasts are 1 lb. Unless you get ginormous sized chicken breasts (often the frozen ones). We generally used 1 1/2 lbs. chicken for 4-6 chicken breasts and it fed a family of 5.
