Mediterranean Layer Dip
I love this Mediterranean Layer Dip recipe. It is so good for you and a fabulous appetizer to make for a party or special occasion. It can be served with Veggies, Pita Chips, Fritos, Tortilla Chips or even eaten with a spoon!
It is naturally gluten free too! You can use any brand of Hummus or make your own. I served this recently for a girls night out and everyone loved it. Best of all it is filled with healthy fats and great for when you are watching your carb intake.
It is so easy to prepare. Simply spread your hummus on the bottom of a shallow bowl or dish. I chose to use a glass pie plate. Then layer with diced tomatoes (feel free to use fresh or canned), cucumbers and olives. On top sprinkle with Feta cheese. You can garnish with basil if you desire. It is really THAT simple. There is no cooking involved. It is simply assembling a delicious and healthy appetizer that everyone will enjoy.
You can serve this with a selection of sliced vegetables. Peppers, cucumbers and celery just to name a few. It is also great with Pita chips, Tortilla Chips or Toast Points. Regardless how you choose to serve it, this is a recipe that is light and healthy and that you can enjoy without feeling guilty.
My friends all flipped for this yummy appetizer because they could enjoy it and not feel bad afterwards. It is light and fresh and really delicious. I hope you enjoy this healthy plant based appetizer as much as we do. It is perfect to make in the summer when you have fresh tomatoes or cucumbers but don’t let that stop you because canned tomatoes are tasty too! This Mediterranean Layer Dip would be perfect for a girls night, game day or holiday party. It is the perfect healthy appetizer that everyone will enjoy.
