We recently attended a fabulous owl pajama party at the Kenton County Library, Durr Branch in Independence, KY. Peyton had so much fun that I wanted to share this idea with you! It is easy to see how you can create a fun themed party from a book! This party was created around the book Hootenanny, A Festive Counting Book written by Kimberly Ainsworth.  They did a great job with making the book come alive in this party!

At the party each child got to make his or her own stuffed owl out of felt. They chose bright colors for the owls and they were so much fun to make. They stuffed them with filling and then sewed them up with yarn and a plastic needle.
