DIY Color Pencil Vase
I love this DIY Color Pencil Vase. Brighten your favorite teacher’s first day of school with this colorful and inexpensive color pencil vase! Even after the flowers are gone, the vase can be a very useful storage container for other items.
OR, if you really want to score extra credit points, send a little note explaining to the teacher that every semester or quarter you will send a bag of candy or more flowers to refill the vase!
DIY Color Pencil Vase:
Supplies:
- Vase (be sure to check your $1 store!)
- Color Pencils (the vase I had on hand is a little larger than some I saw at the $1 store, I used 47 color pencils from a box of 50, but they were on super sale!)
- Hot glue
- Ribbon – consider coordinating with school colors
- Flowers
- Tag (optional)
Step 1: With a thin line of hot glue begin gluing your pencils to the vase, placing them close together
Step 2: Once all of your color pencils have been glued to the vase, cut a length of ribbon and tie around the vase
Step 3: Arrange the flowers in the vase
Step 4 (Optional): Clip a tag to the ribbon. (I found these library cards at a teacher supply store for about $2 for 50!)
