Crockpot 2 Ingredient Whole Chicken Recipe
Are you looking for an easy Christmas Eve dinner idea, if so then this Crockpot 2 Ingredient Whole Chicken Recipe is what you need! It cannot get much simpler than a whole chicken with olive oil that cooks slowly all day in the crockpot. The chicken will be so tender and moist, that you will have to be careful removing it from the slow cooker because it will fall right off the bones.
All you need is a 5-7 lb. whole chicken; I was able to get one on manger’s special. Place it in your slow cooker and rub the skin with olive oil. Be sure to get down into the wings and crevices. Next if you desire you can season with salt and pepper, but you do not have too. Now all you have to do is put the lid on and cook on low for 8 hours or longer.
I had plenty of leftovers and was able to make a Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings recipe, which will be coming soon to the blog! Be sure to try this Crockpot 2 Ingredient Whole Chicken Recipe for your Christmas Eve dinner or any weeknight dinner, you will not be disappointed!
This is one of my favorite low carb recipes! If you are following the Keto Diet, you will love this one! I like to serve it with cauliflower rice or a side salad! I hope you enjoy this Easy Keto Diet Recipe.

Do you not add water to the bottom of the crockpot?
No you don’t 🙂
Making this again! And again and again because it is so easy and healthier. We gave up cold cuts for lunches and use this chicken instead. For variety, I have sprinkled in healthy amount of different dried herbs: Italian, rosemary& thyme, dill. I don’t know why the slow cooker feels so much easier to use, but it does. Thanks.
