About Attraction: Lights under Louisville prides itself on being the only underground light display in the entire world. Take your own vehicle through Louisville’s Mega Cavern for a 30 minute magical light display. Grab the family and make this 17 mile spectacular display a family tradition.

There is also a Christmas Express Tram Ride available if you would rather not drive your own vehicle. This has a separate fee based on party size. You can call them to schedule a time and find out the cost.

ChristmasTime at Ark Encounter

About Attraction: During ChristmasTime at Ark Encounter event the life sized ark replica along with the gardens are lit up like a rainbow. Don’t miss the animated show in the Answers Center.

Other Information: There is a $10 parking fee. Skating, Camel Rides and Zip Lines are also additional costs. A Christmas buffet is available at an additional cost as well.

Southern Lights Holiday Festival

  • About Attraction: Southern Lights Holiday Festival gives you a three miles long driving only lights display complete with an orchestrated musical number to accompany your drive. After driving through the spectacular lights display guests are invited to park their vehicles and enjoy the other attractions inside the park.

Other Information: Train rides, pictures with Santa, pony rides, parakeet experience, camel rides, petting zoo and so much more are available. Some activities are included in the admission fee and others are an additional cost. Some attractions are cash only.

Please enter through the campground as that is the only way in.

Weekends are the busiest time so if you can make time to visit during a weekday you can save some money and enjoy shorter lines.

Winter Wonderland of Lights Festival

About Attraction: Ashland transforms itself into a true winter wonderland. Central Park offers a drive through light display, there is a themed parade (2019’s theme is Candy Cane Christmas), Beauty Pageant and many other events.

Victorian Christmas Tour

About Attraction: This two day Victorian Christmas Tour will take you on a stroll through the registered Historic East Row District. The houses themselves are gorgeous but don’t miss the chance to see them all decked out for Christmas. This is typically a walking tour, but a shuttle will make frequent stops along the route. Don’t forget to get your Christmas Tea tickets as well.

Other Information: Pick up pre-bought tickets or purchase tickets at Movement Church, 415 E 8th Street, Newport KY 41071. The walking portion of the tour is wheelchair friendly however the homes themselves are not handicap accessible. Christmas Tea is separate from the tour.

Shaker Village Illuminated Evenings

About Attraction: Go back in time when Christmas Time was simpler and family was the reason for the season. Shaker Village’s Illuminated Evenings will bring you light displays, bon fires, hot apple cider, musical performances, Elf Shop, shopping and more are available for your families enjoyment.

Other Information: Jingle Bell Shuttle Rides are an extra cost. The Holiday music is located in the 1820 Shaker Meeting House
