Best Gluten Free on 30A
I decided to share the Best Gluten Free on 30A with you! I love to travel to 30A. The first time I visited I was so happy to see that there were so many amazing gluten free options.
Best Gluten Free on 30A:
Now when I return I have to visit my favorite spots and add a few news ones too! Hands down my personal favorite pick on 30A is Old Florida Fish House.
Old Florida Fish House – The gluten free fried seafood is to die for! We ate there twice on our last visit because it was so good. The Calamari is amazing! This is hands down my favorite dish from the entire trip. They use a cornmeal breading and have a dedicated fryer so this makes for a safe option for those with Celiac Disease. They take reservations.
Elmo’s Grill – My families favorite pick. They have delicious snow crab legs and peel and eat shrimp. They use Old Bay Seasoning so it is safe to get any of the seafood that is broiled or grilled. This is not a fancy place to dine. It is super casual and they even have live music. We love to eat at Elmo’s. A must for every trip. They do not take reservations. Go early as they will have a wait all night.
Goatfeather’s Seafood – They offer an awesome early bird dining special and we really enjoyed our food. I had the King Crab Legs dinner and it was one of the best cooked meals I have ever enjoyed on 30A. They have been in business since 1988. It is not fancy but the food is great and the service was too! They also have two seafood markets which is great to take home for dinner too. They do not take reservations. Go early to avoid a long wait.
Chiringo Grayton – This is a a casual beachside restaurant and bar serving a variety of gluten free options. Everything was clearly marked on the menu. The fried shrimp was delicious. It was a really light breading unlike Old Florida Fish House which was much thicker. The homemade guacamole was delicious. One word of warning. Parking here is a nightmare. I suggest taking the shuttle. It is a really laid back vibe and very casual. You could definitely go straight from the beach. They take reservations. Again. Parking is a nightmare so allow for time to shuttle.
Pizza by the Sea – They have four locations serving Florida’s Emerald Coast. On scenic Hwy 30A: Watercolor Crossings, Gulf Place Town Center and Seacrest (between Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. And a new location in Miramar Beach on Hwy 98. The restaurants specialize in a wonderful thin crust pizza and also feature a great selection of fresh Italian cuisine, salads, sandwiches, retro sodas, beer, and wine. They have a cauliflower crust that is to die for as well as a gluten free crust. This is a must when we travel to 30A (multiple times). They do not take reservations.
The Perfect Pig – The Perfect Pig Grill and Fish House features fresh local grouper for dinner, award-winning pulled pork for lunch and hand sliced applewood smoked bacon for breakfast. With three locations on 30A you will fall in love with this place. The pig nachos are AMAZING! I also enjoyed the open faced shrimp sandwich for lunch and the mahi mahi for dinner. Yes, we ate there multiple times! They take reservations.
AJ’s Grayton – Since 1984, AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar has been serving cold Gulf Coast oysters and drinks. What began as a popular local hang out known for fresh oysters and cold beer has grown into one of the most iconic “hot spots” on the Destin Harbor. They have grown to four locations along Florida’s Emerald Coast, serving the freshest seafood and best live music. They use a gluten free breading for their seafood so you can get anything gluten free (except the clams) and they have a dedicated fryer too. They do not take reservations. Go early as they will have a wait.
Stinky’s Fish Camp – Stinky’s is located in Santa Rosa Beach, FL in beautiful South Walton County. Nestled just off of the famous County Road 30A, Stinky’s has become 30A’s most popular seafood & wine bar. Stinky’s Bait Shack located next to Stinky’s Fish Camp for Stinky’s gear, cold beer and live music. They have the most delicious gluten free shrimp and grits! They have their gluten free clearly marked on the menu. They do not take reservations. Go early as they will have a wait. Also, you can feed the turtles there too!
Blue Mountain Creamery – Over 20 years ago, owner Christine and young son Jed migrated from Canada to a seaside cottage on the corner of 30-A in beautiful Blue Mountain Beach. As the years passed, and the area grew, the two decided to bring the first Ice Creamery to the area–creating some of the most delicious frozen ice cream, yogurt and sorbet treats sold on the beach. It is cash only and they know what ingredients are in every product since it is homemade. Just order in a cup without a cone. It is totally worth the wait! No trip to 30A is complete without a stop (or 5) at Blue Mountain Creamery.
Blue Mountain Bakery – La Loba’s Bakery was founded in 1994 and purchased by new owners, Kyle Swift and Dallin Harris, in July of 2019. The name of the bakery changed from La Loba’s Bakery to Blue Mountain Bakery to bring a sense of pride and community to both the locals and tourists who enjoy the sandy beaches of Blue Mountain Beach. Trust us it is worth the visit! The gluten free muffins are cookies are delicious!
I hope this helps you find the Best Gluten Free 30A. There are so many amazing choices!
