Here is what you will need:
1 extra-large gift bag (sold in the cards and gift wrap section, gender neutral colors and design)
Balloon Time Helium Balloon Kit
Assorted balloons (the kit comes with balloons but if you want a certain color or style, you can grab your own)
Ribbon in choice of color (the kit comes with white, so if you want you can use this or opt for your own!)
Balloon weight
Tissue paper (gender neutral colors)
Black permanent marker

Now let’s get started! To use your Balloon Time tank, all you need to do is turn the dial 3-5 times. This will open the airway for the helium. Once you do this, you are ready to begin filling the balloons.

Directions:

1. Place the opening of the balloon on the end of the helium nozzle. Gently press down and the balloon will begin to fill. You want to fit 3-5 balloons in the bag, so inflate the balloons to medium size. Close the balloon.

2. Tie a length of ribbon round the balloon knot. Tie securely. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have the number of balloons you need.

3. On the balloons, you can write either “BOY” or “GIRL.” Or you can let the colors speak for you! Maybe it is twins 🙂

4. Tie the balloon ribbons into a knot and attach them to a weight. Place the weight inside the bag and tuck the balloons down inside.

NOTE: We used a gift bag because it is so much easier than looking for a large box which you then have to decorate. These bags are so roomy and are capable of getting the job done with less time and less money plus they can be re-used again in the future.

5. Cover the balloons with tissue paper. This will also help weight them down. If you are worried about them flying out, just tie the handles of the bag together.

When you are ready for the big reveal, all you need to do is open the bag! The balloons will fly up and your guests will get to see what the baby is. Since the balloons are weighted, you don’t need to worry about them flying away. They will stay in place allowing you to use the bag and balloons as an instant centerpiece or photo opportunity!
