5 Fall Must-Do Tips for Busy Moms

Fall is officially here and that means it is time to remember these 5 Fall Must-Do Tips for Busy Moms. As a mom, it is hard to keep up with all the details during the busier back to school season. This is especially true if you have a child in sports programs like we do. It can become very busy between school, work, picking up children from extracurricular activities, and everything in between! These tips will keep you on track for a healthier and happier fall season.

5 Fall Must-Do Tips for Busy Moms

This post is sponsored by our partnership with Crest and they are always trying to help us as moms do better and be better. There is so much pressure on women to be perfect, and as moms, it feels overwhelming sometimes. That’s why we like to share these little tips that really make our lives easier to manage.

Take advantage of meal planning

This is always on the top of our list. Meal planning makes our lives so much easier. Especially if you are a mom with a busy after school schedule of appointments and practices. We utilize our many slow cooker recipes and meal plans to make this possible. Whatever you choose, a simple plan written down each week makes it 100% easier to stay on track.

Replace oral hygiene items

One of the things I always think of in the fall is the changing of seasons. With each season, I make a note to replace and update our toothbrushes or devices along with making sure I have plenty of toothpaste, mouthwash, and dental floss on hand in the bathrooms. Toothbrushes should be replaced approximately every 3 months, so doing in the fall season is ideal. Our go-to product is Crest and we love that there is such a wide variety of products provided by them that work for our entire family – even the teen boy in braces.

Restock your pantry

This is a great time to evaluate your pantry and freezer. With busier days ahead, it’s nice to know you always have something on hand to prepare for dinner or a snack. In the summer months, we keep a lot of snacks and fresh fruits on hand, but as winter approaches our taste buds tend to change a bit as well. It’s time to add in canned soups, items for making soups and chili, as well as crackers, muffin mixes, and simple shelf-stable snacks. Granola bars, electrolyte drinks, and even a few meal replacement bars are also handy for the athletes in the family. You can pick those up at Kroger too.

Do a deep clean of your home

With the seasonal change, it is time to really do a good deep clean. I devote at least one day at the start of fall to hit those hard to reach things like ceiling fans, baseboards, and closets. This helps make the winter season approaching easier to manage and keeps me orderly and ready for the influx of boots, jackets, gloves, and potential snowfall over the next few months.

Take a day off for your own mental health

As a busy mom, you really need to protect your mental health alongside your physical health. A healthy and happy mom is one who can handle the stresses that come with back to school and a busy holiday season. If possible, take a few days to get away and refresh your body and mind. If the budget doesn’t allow that, simply plan a day at home with zero chores and lots of relaxation with a good book, a bubble bath, and maybe a cup of hot tea.

Being a busy mom is the best thing in our lives, but it can be a struggle sometimes. This list is a great beginning for getting on track and making sure you are ready to handle the busy fall schedule ahead.
