what can i use instead of the pizzell cookies i can not find them. that will not change the points/
I am not sure but check out this link: https://www.pizzellecookies.com/buy/
I live in a small town and couldn’t find the Pizzelle cookies either. When I mention the recipe to a co-worker she told me that Burkes has them. Went there today and they were about $4 for a package. I scanned them and they’re 5 points for 6 cookies. If you’re near a Burkes Outlet or a Bealls Outlet you can find them there!
I just bought fat free honey graham crackers.
How did you like it?
Aldi’s Carry them
Aldi’s carry the cookies in 2 flavors.
My wife made this last week and it was awesome! I wanted to make it again so I printed it this time! Going in get cook book binder!
How many “green points” will this be on the new plan?
The green plan is the same as Beyond the Scale – so 4 points.
Made this today. Absolutely delicious! Only one question. Not sure how to get the yogurt and pudding to a pouring consistency even after adding cool whip. Any suggestions?
I just mix them all together. It’s not a liquid pour as much as a gelatinous pour. 🙂
What size pudding?
3.4 oz (small box)
Can this be made the night before? And could you mix the pudding with milk for this recipe? Make it more creamier?
I think so 🙂 You can but it will effect the points.
Do you make the pudding according to the box directions?
I made it but would not pour into pan.
It was very tasty but not very attractive
.Carole
Yes, according to the box. It may not easily “pour”. It is sooo good!
I had to add another 8 oz fat free cool whip to it. That’s the trick.
I’m confused! Do you just put the dry cheesecake mix with the yogurt or do you make it according to box directions, then add it to the yogurt?
You do not follow the package directions. You follow these directions 🙂
Maybe I missed it, but what is the serving size?? Thank you…
It serves 10.
I just made this dessert and the recipe said to add just the pudding mix with the yogurt and I added a little more whipped topping because I had 2 tubs. I used reduced fat graham crackers instead of the Pizelles. I had them but they were Anise flovored and didn’t know if that would be weird but it looks good. The best part is though the fresh hand picked strawberries I just went to yesterday. Had plenty so it is extra strawberrylicious. Also I was wondering if this could be frozen and kept til a later date. My moms birthday is coming up and she would love this.
I think it will freeze well!
I freeze pizelle cookies with fat free cool whip in between them and it is like a wonderful ice cream sandwich! (2 points each, depending on amount of cool whip) I have added thin slices of strawberries in the middle ( thin thin) and they add a little crunch and flavor. I feel sure this can be frozen as long as you thaw a little before serving. What a great recipe! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing!
I put the ingredients in the Weight Watchers recipe builder and it came out to 3 points. Did anyone else get this as well?
Will the pizelle cookies get soggy?
They don’t seem to last long enough to get soggy! LOL!
Made this for dessert tonight and it was delicious! I had to make some changes based on what was available at our local market. They did not have cheesecake pudding so I used vanilla. Also, I don’t like plain yogurt and since I couldn’t find the cheesecake pudding I used Dannon Light&Fit 80 calorie Greek yogurt in Strawberry Cheesecake flavor; each is 5.3 oz so I used 2. The pudding/yogurt/1/2 container Cool Whip mixture was like paste so I added milk (about 1 cup) for a better consistency. I think next time I may make the pudding following box instructions and then add the yogurt and 1/2 of the Cool Whip. I also used Vanilla Pizzeles. This dessert did not fill my 9×13 pan from side to side, mostly because there was not enough filling or strawberries. Definitely didn’t look full as in the picture, but let me tell you it was rich and delicious tasting. We divided this into 6 generous servings which, if I figured correctly, counts 6 Weight Watcher Freestyle Smartpoints. I think 10 servings would be 3.5 smartpoints per serving. I will definitely make this again with my changes and would not hesitate to serve it to company.
I did not make the pudding by package directions, but only added the yogurt and cool whip. This must’ve been incorrect because it only made a small amount that was quite thick. It only filled an 8×8 pan
Mine was too! I could only make one layer and spread filing like frosting….
The consistency was really thick. I think next time I’ll double up on the whip cream. It was good but too thick.
Tried this with the thin Pizzelles and they got so soggy we couldn’t eat it. Is that what ur using or is there another puzzler cookie?
We used Pizzelle Cookies, available in the bakery.
Pudding mixed with yogurt is way too thick and doesn’t blend well. I even added some milk
I had the same problem the mixture of pudding and yogurt with 1/2 of cool whip was too think to spread. I used it all for the bottom layer. Then I had another box of pudding, added tougher and 1 cup of milk which worked. Then I just used the remaining cool whip as like an icing mit was great and friends raves about it.. Additionally I could not find the Pizzelle cookies so I used 34° chocolate sweet crisps which added a nice chocolate flavor. Of course it up to the point count but at this point in time I was trying to get a dessert ready for a meeting and I just went with what I had and it really was good. I know now that I can order the Purcell cookies online but it also seems like I could pick them up at Lidl from a prior pos 34° chocolate sweet crisps which added a nice chocolate flavor. My husband, daughter and I are all on WW currently. This is one of the first desserts I made and it was well received. I calculated it as 4 points on purple.
I can’t find the Pizzelle cookies anywhere and ordered them from Amazon. They were pretty expensive. I made it again last night using low fat vanilla wafers. Haven’t tried it yet but expect it to be as good.
Janet, do you have an Aldi’s near you? They carry the vanilla and chocolate pizzelles. Weirdly they are with the bread.
Oh thanks for letting us all know!
Just a question, are the pizzelle’s supposed to get soft like they do in a graham cracker refrigerator cake or do you make this just before serving?
