Homemade Whipped Cream Cheese Icing

Homemade Whipped Cream Cheese Icing is made with only 4 ingredients and tastes better than the bakery!

Homemade Whipped Cream Cheese Icing is the perfect topping for any cake, fruit, latte or dessert. This recipe is simple to make and only has 4 ingredients! I will now always make my icing, well unless it’s FREE with coupons at the store 😉 Everyone in the family loved it and has requested it to be on the menu again!

Did you know that you can freeze cream cheese?  It works great and saves money!  I like to purchase cream cheese in bulk on sale and stockpile it for recipes.  Check out this post Can You Freeze Cream Cheese to find out how!

This homemade whipped cream cheese icing goes well with Red Velvet Cake, Whoopie Pies and Pumpkin Spice Cake.

  1. Just curious howmuch this made? I am doing a stacked round cake for my sons birthday next week and wondering if I should double this?

LOVE this icing. It’s not thick like Betty crocker or Duncan hines icing from the store but more a think pourable icing. A little thicker than cake batter consistency.

I made this to put on top of candy corn cupcakes! I used a splash of almond milk and only three cups of powdered sugar and it turned out super yummy! Not to thick… not to thin! Will be making again and again and again!!

  4. Is the sugar powdered sugar?
Also, if you want to make this so you can pipe it, add some merangue powder to help it hold shape.

  5. Anyways to thicken this up a little to use it for decorating a cake? Just made it and need it thicker fast….
