Holiday Decor Ideas For Kids Rooms
Shopping at At Home is one of my new favorite ways to really make our home pop for a season. With tons of affordable options for home decor, it’s a great place to visit when I want to add something new to a season or holiday. These are some of my favorite holiday decor ideas that are ideal for kids rooms.
Table Top Christmas Tree: Adding a table top Christmas tree to the bedside table, a corner of their bedroom, or even on top of their chest of drawers is a great option. This allows your kids to decorate with their own unique style. Having kids only tree in their bedroom is ideal if you want to make your main Christmas tree a themed decor item.
Christmas Lights Around Ceiling: Stringing holiday lights around the edge of doorways or even around the edge of a ceiling is a great way to really add fun and character to your kid’s bedrooms. Many people even leave holiday lights up year round.
Throw Pillows and Blankets: I love a nice pillow on my couch, but kids beds are often used for lounging and doing homework. Why not add some fun holiday throw pillows or blankets to their beds to really brighten things up and bring the seasons to their room?
Window Clings: If your kids have bedroom windows, a fun holiday window cling is something they will enjoy. Add to the inside of their windows to bring a fun Santa or reindeer scene they can look at while they work on homework or play.
Hang their stockings: While most families hang holiday stockings on the mantle, this is one holiday decor idea you can add to your kid’s rooms and still have fun stuffing full of goodies for Christmas morning. You can leave in their rooms until Christmas Eve, or simply pack it and leave for them to find when they wake up on Christmas Day.
Holiday Scented Candles or Oils: For older kids, a little holiday candle or oil warmer is a great option to bring the smell of Christmas into their room. This is, however, something I would only recommend for a teens room that would be responsible for it and wouldn’t be at risk for being burned.
Shopping At Home makes it easier to manage fun holiday decor ideas that are ideal for your entire home, but especially your kid’s rooms this year. Grab your favorite tree, ornaments, stockings, and more to really give their room a unique look that reflects their personality and stays within your budget this year.
