DIY Melted Crayon Hearts

DIY Melted Crayon Hearts are perfect to make for Valentine's Day!

DIY Melted Crayon Hearts are so easy to make and kids love them!  They are perfect to give out for Valentine’s Day at classroom parties. My youngest who is in first grade is giving these to his classmates and it only took less than 30 minutes to make from start to finish.  I even used broken crayons we have at home so there was no need to buy anything to make these adorable DIY Melted Crayon Hearts.

Step 1: Remove any paper from crayons.  I usually use up broken crayons we have in a pile or crayons that are down to being nothing.

Step 2: Cut crayons into small pieces. You can use scissors or your hands, I found scissors to be easier.

Step 3: Place crayon pieces in silicone heart pan that is on a baking sheet (this helps make it easier to get in and out of the oven).

Step 4: Place on the oven on 250 degrees and bake (melt) for 10 -15 minutes.

Step 5: While still hot from the oven, use a toothpick and stir the colors to give a marbled look.

Step 6: Let cool on the counter for about 10 minutes. Then place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. Pop put the hearts and they are ready to give out for Valentine’s Day! I place them in a clear bag and attach a piece of paper with the wording “You color my world with Happiness” but of course you can add what ever you want!
