DIY Beach Theme Wedding Decorations
These DIY Beach Theme Wedding Decorations are super cute and great for your guests to take home for display. My husband and I recently went to a wedding reception and these adorable decorations were the perfect touch for the beach wedding theme.
DIY Beach Theme Wedding Decorations:
The couple had gone on a destination wedding to the beautiful beaches of Siesta Key, Florida. They decided to have a wedding reception back home for all those who could not travel and attend the wedding ceremony. I love how they tied in the theme from their destination wedding to the reception. These cute table decorations were affordable to make and a cute souvenir for guests.
These DIY Beach Theme Wedding Decorations were simple and super easy to make. Everyone at the reception loved them and was able to take one home! If you are planning on a beach theme wedding or reception, be sure to include these DIY Beach Theme Wedding Decorations.
Directions
Purchase supplies of mason jars with ring (you don’t need the lid), ribbon (color to match your wedding), craft sand, shells (either purchase or collect from beach) and hot glue gun, double sided tape or glue dots.
Next cut ribbon to fit around the lid. Adhere ribbon to lid side with your choice of adhesive.
Fill the bottom of the jars with sand, they used approximately 1/4 cup in each jar.
Next arrange shells on top of the sand (you can use as many or less as you want).
Tip: It is best to place shells in the jars on the day of set up, because the shells can move around during transport. Be sure to pack them safely so they do not move during transport or spill out all over the vehicle.
Best of all this is a way for you to make your own table decorations or party favors for guests. You can order your Mason jars in bulk or look at yard sales or flea markets for discounted rates. Be sure to use a coupon at Michael’s to save even more. This simple DIY really carried out the bride’s theme nicely and everyone enjoyed the DIY Beach Themed Mason Jars. Be sure to give this craft a try. Would be perfect for any beach themed party!
