I love using my slow cooker for easy meals through the week because I have boys who are very active in sports and academic events. Having a quick dinner keeps us from eating out and provides the family a sit down dinner where we can spend time together. I love this time in the evening where we can catch up and connect with each other about our day.
For this crockpot recipe, you only need pork chops (boneless or bone in), packet of ranch or you can use this recipe for Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix and some good ole’ butter. Place it all in the slow cooker and let is cook all day. Place pork in bottom of the slow cooker (I used a 4 qt). Sprinkle the ranch seasoning on top. Place butter slices on next and cover with the lid. Cook on low for 8 hours. It is that really that easy!
Serve the Ranch Pork Chops straight from the crockpot along with your favorite side dishes. On this particular night I made canned corn, green beans, Old Fashioned Mashed Potatoes and biscuits per the children’s request. Be sure to try Crockpot Butter Ranch Pork Chops you will not be disappointed!

The pork chops don’t burn when they cook that long without any added liquid
No they don’t! 🙂
This totally didn’t work for me. Butter burned after just a few hours. It’s a simple recipe so no idea what I did wrong.
What size crockpot did you use?
I think it was a 6qt
This was prepared in a 4 qt. that we used. If you use a 6 qt I would suggest that you reduce the time. Be sure it is on low temperature too.
Did not work for me either. I’m wondering if there could be a typo on the time. Mine were so overcooked that they were almost jerky.
What size slow cooker did you use?
I thought this recipe was fantastic. I used a 3.5 quart crock pot and cooked them for about 7.5 hours on low. The meat was very tender and fell apart very easily.
Does it need To be boneless pork chops?
You can use bone-in or boneless! I use whatever I find on sale 🙂
I used a 6-quart crock pot, doubled the recipe, cooked for 5 hours on low and turned down to warm. They were fabulous and fell off the bone. Yum!
hi there! I am starting the low-carb lifestyle and this will be the first recipe that I use as I must be honest I do not cook but am learning that I must do that on this lifestyle change. I do have a 4-quart crock pot that I plan to use with the pork chops but wanted to know if you by chance had the nutritional value information on this for example how many carbs and fat and protein are the main ones that I was interested in. If you do please let me know I would greatly appreciate that information as I would like to write it down on your recipe that I printed out.

I read the comments and switched to a super small crockpot. The pork chops I used we harvested here at home so super lean and therefore easy to get tough chops. This recipe was excellent. They came out fall off the bone tender. I had only a short amount of time so I actually ran them on high for the first 2 hours which I thought for sure would dry them out but they were perfect. I finished with 2 hours on low. When I switched from high to low I re-stacked them in the crock so the one on top was now on bottom.
Probably a dumb question but when it comes to my crock pot I have to ask =) Do you put the pork chops in thawed or frozen? Some recipes say they can go in frozen…
Either way! I prefer frozen if I know they need to cook a little longer.
Made this last night and come out delicious. Used 6.5 qt slow-cooker set on low for 6 hours. Came out wonderful. Only thing I did differently was I sprinkled the ranch mix on both sides of the chops and topped each with a pat of butter. No burning, just great chops.
Is there some way to incorporate Frank’s hot sauce into this recipe…it just sounds good.
Oh yes that would be delicious! Add it with the chicken!
This looks amazing, I can’t wait to try it! Do you have any recommendations for settings and time to make this in an Instant Pot?
I am sorry I don’t. I don’t think it would take long.
Can you make this with a tenderloin?
Yes for sure!
This was easy and delicious! I used 5 boneless pork chops. Mine were done in about 5 1/2 hours on low. Served over mashed potatoes.
if using the homemade ranch seasoning, how much should i use?
2 TBSP.
What did you serve on top of pork chops? Looks like gravy?
For Keto, do you have the nutritional information? Thank you
