Salad in a Jar

There is nothing better than a Salad in a Jar for a lunch on the go.

Salad in a Jar is perfect to make ahead of time and take to work for lunch. This is an easy way to stay on track of eating healthy even while working. I even plan on making these for the summer to take to the pool with me.

The most important thing to remember is to put your dressing on the bottom and your lettuce on the top so that your lettuce doesn’t become soggy. When it’s time for lunch all you have to do is give it a shake and pour it into your bowl or plate.

Use a gluten free salad or make your own with lemon juice, olive oil and garlic and this becomes a great Paleo lunch on the go! This is a great low carb option for lunch.  Simply layer it with ingredients that are low carb, and you are set! This would be perfect if you are following the Keto Diet.

  • Lettuce/Spinach
  • Mushrooms
  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • Berries
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Olives
  • Tomatoes
  • Peppers
  • Raddish
