Homemade Philly Cheese Steaks
Do you love Homemade Philly Cheese Steaks? I sure do! They are a family favorite! If you are craving a good Philly Cheese Steak but you are limited to going out to eat right now this is a great recipe that you can easily make at home. They are simple to make but they are full of flavor and will fill you up. With only a few ingredients this is soon to become a recipe that I will make again. Next time, I am going to try it with chicken.
My friend Rebecca passed this recipe to me. She used a yellow and orange sweet pepper and a small red/purple onion but you can use any that you prefer. Simply saute your pepper and onion in a cast iron skillet with a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil on medium heat. Then she moved the peppers and onions to one side and put the package of beef shaved steak in and thoroughly doused it with Worcestershire sauce (about 2 TBSP). Then she took the hoagie buns and buttered the inside and placed on a mesh pizza pan and placed in a 300 degree oven to toast.
Finally she placed the meat mixture into the bun, added a slice of cheese and placed in the oven for a few minutes and allowed the cheese to melt.
For her homemade fries she used Idaho potatoes that she cut into fry strips and placed those in a bowl and covered in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, sea salt and McCormick roasted garlic and herb seasoning. Then she tossed that well and placed onto a baking sheet in a pre-heated oven at 435 for about 20-25 minutes.
