Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings
Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings Recipe is a great one pot meal! I love making this meal on rainy days and it’s my favorite comfort meal. I almost always have the ingredients in stock for this easy crockpot recipe. The ingredients used are considered a staple in my house — celery, carrots, chicken, onion, chicken broth and a can of biscuits. This meal is a huge family hit and I hope you enjoy it as well!
This delicious, Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings Recipe is one of my favorites to make for my family! This slow cooker recipe is so easy and is a true southern comfort food. You will love the shortcut method of making dumplings. My hubby prefers the homemade version, but sometimes I do not have the time to make them. So, instead I use a can of store bought biscuits. I bust them open and cut the biscuits into quarters. Next I throw them in the crockpot as soon as I get home from work. The semi – made dumplings only take about an hour to bake in the slow cooker, so this gives me time to change my clothes and help the kids with their homework!

I got two roasted turkeys on sale this evening at Kroger 1/2 price (ya know the ones ready and warm to take home and put right out on the dinner table). I’m gonna remove the meat from it and make turkey dumplings in my crockpot tomorrow. Can’t wait!!!
Never thought of using biscuits as dumplings though. May try that out. :0)

I love chicken and dumplings 🙂
This is the ultimate comfort food. Thanks for sharing an easy to prepare recipe.
In my experience cooking chicken in a crock pot, chicken releases water. Why do you add water and broth?
You do to have enough water to cook your dumplings. If it is just chicken no need.
