Crockpot Beef Stroganoff

Crockpot Beef Stroganoff is so easy to prepare and tastes amazing! Growing up my family use to have Beef Stroganoff all the time and it was a great comfort meal on a cold day. With the cooler weather of Fall coming, I couldn’t help but prepare this dinner dish.

Crockpot Beef Stroganoff is an easy recipe and only need 5 ingredients!

When I started to look up recipes I was wondering if there was a way that I could make this in my slow cooker. I found a couple crockpot recipes but most of them used beef stew and I really wanted ground beef because that’s how my family made it.  Best of all by using ground beef that is a great way to stretch your family budget.

So, after a few adjustments I put together this incredibly tasty Crockpot Beef Stroganoff recipe. It was easy to prepare and then I served over pasta that I had in my stockpile. My boys and I loved it so much it’s on the menu again!

First of all, start by cooking and draining your ground beef.  Next in the crockpot combine the meat, soup, onion, sauce and water. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 5 hours. Stir in cream cheese 30 minutes before serving. Serve over pasta.  It is that simple.  This is a nice recipe when you have to serve a large crowd because it is inexpensive and tasty.

  2. 5 stars
We made this Sunday night for 6 people. I have made it several times exactly as posted, but Sunday we tweaked the recipie a little and it was awesome. 3lbs of hamburger meat, 2 cans of the ready to eat Creamy Mushroom soup by Progresso, 8oz. of diced onions, 2tbsp Worcestershire, NO extra water, 1 small package of sliced mushrooms, and of course a full 8oz. package of cream chesse. Instead of pasta, mix in 3 bags of cooked minute rice! It is simply amazing. Even the couple of people that hate mushrooms went back for more!

  3. If the meat is already cooked and you put it in the crockpot for 8 hours on low won’t it dry out the ground beef since it is already cooked? Yes
