Once I am almost ready to serve Thanksgiving dinner, I will ladle out the juices from the turkey and make a gravy to serve and enjoy.

To prepare wash the turkey breast and pat dry; place in crockpot. Cut butter into slices and place on top of turkey breast. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Put lid on and cook on low 9-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours. Carefully remove turkey to a platter and let rest 10 minutes before carving. Ingredients

  • 1 turkey breast thawed or fresh (5-7 lb)
  • 4 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste optional

Instructions

  • Wash turkey breast and pat dry; place in crockpot.
  • Cut butter into slices and place on top of turkey breast.
  • Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  • Put lid on and cook on low 9-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours.
  • Carefully remove turkey to a platter and let rest 10 minutes before carving.
  • Serve and enjoy!

  2. I was unable to slice the breast it fell apart, like it had been shredded. Any advice? Tasted great just wished I could have sliced it.
