Almond Joy Milkshake
If you love Almond Joy Candy Bars you are going to LOVE this Almond Joy Milkshake. My husband is an Almond Joy fanatic! He absolutely loves anything with a Coconut, Almonds and Chocolate combination. I was preparing milkshakes for the family, and I ran out of milk, eek! That is when it hit me, why not use our International Delights instead? I have never tried this before, but I thought it was a good idea and considering hubby was going to be the one without a milkshake I figured I had nothing to lose.
This delicious recipe is so easy to make but no one will EVER know that when they taste it. In fact, my husband couldn’t get over how delicious this sweet treat was. I chose Almond Joy International Delight, but the sky is the limit on the flavors you could use create delicious combinations. In fact, I think using International Delight would be perfect for a summer party. You could create a DIY Milkshake Bar. I love the new International Delight logo too. Look for it when you go to the store. I have seen it on a couple flavors so far. I love the new packaging! It makes me happy!
I took a couple of minutes to toast the coconut and my husband commented that he loved it. To toast just put on a cookie sheet or baking stone and place in the oven for 2 minutes on 300 degrees. It is so easy to do and keeps fresh in an airtight container if you don’t use it all.
After I mixed the Ice Cream and Almond Joy International Delight Cream together, I poured it into a glass and topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut, mini chocolate chips and almond slices. I have to say that my husband was REALLY impressed with it! Of course, he asked for another one the next night. I guess we have a new replacement for milk in his milkshake!
