Snickerdoodle Cookie

Ingredients

cups
granulated sugar
1
cup
unsalted butter, softened (not melted)

eggs

vanilla extract
2 3/4

all-purpose flour (can use gluten free flour blend)
1
tsp.
baking soda
1/4
tsp.
salt
2
tsp.
cream of tartar
2
TBSP
granulated sugar
2
tsp.
ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Beat sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth and well blended.
Stir flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl.
Gradually mix dry ingredients mixture into the wet ingredients just until combined.
Shape dough into 1 inch-sized balls.
Make cinnamon-sugar mixture. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Place dough balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture and roll until coated. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven until set but not too hard, 8 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to set for 1-2 minutes and then transfer to wire rack to cool.

These are a family favorite growing up. My mom always made them at Christmas.
