Toll House Cookies 60 cookies (5 dozen) - We do not fill all the cookies! We save some for the plain Chocolate Chip Cookie Eaters!
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets on wire racks for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Cookies must be completely cool before adding Peanut Butter filling!
Peanut Butter Frosting
Combine butter and peanut butter, beating until smooth.
Mix in powdered sugar one cup at a time. Make sure you add it slowly.
Add in vanilla and milk. Beat until it sets up like a frosting.
You can spread the frosting between the cookies or you can pipe the icing using a pastry bag. My son made these cookies and is so interested in piping. This was his first time!
