Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts is one of my favorite appetizer recipes. My Mom made these for special occasions and holidays when we were growing up.

Ingredients
1lb.bacon
2 - 8ozcans of whole water chestnuts
1cupketchupI use Heinz
1/2cupbrown sugar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Cut package of bacon in half (down the middle).
Wrap each water chestnut with bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Bake 30 - 40 minutes and then drain off grease.
Baste with sauce.
Bake another 30 minutes basting every 10 minutes with sauce. Or until done.
Serve warm.
Notes
My mom always made these for holidays. I remember enjoying them at New Years Eve and holiday parties with family. Now I make them for super bowl and Christmas Eve.
