Buckeye Dip
Buckeye Dip is perfect for Christmas or holiday parties! Tastes just like buckeyes and it has peanut butter and cream cheese in it, what more could you want in a dessert.
This easy dessert recipe you can make in as little as 10 minutes and it tastes better if you prepare a day or two before hand. It gives time for all of the flavors to come together. I know because I couldn’t resist to take a taste test after I first made it.
You can serve graham crackers with Buckeye Dip, but the possibilities are endless with what you can serve with it. Pretzels, chocolate sticks and even cookies tastes great dipped in this creamy, delicious dip. Of course it is so good you can eat it with a spoon. I like it because it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare compared to the longer process of rolling out and dipping traditional Buckeyes.
Be sure to make this dip for Christmas or an afternoon of watching football. Everyone will love it! Be sure to also check out our popular recipe for Buckeye Bark.

What do you gave it paired with in the pictures to the right?
it is paired with Tastefully Simple Twisty Grahams.
Does it need to stay refrigerated? In the rare event I don’t eat it all in one sitting…
Yes 🙂
I made this and it was amazing! Would it keep in the fridge for a few days?
Yes – I would say keep it covered for up to 5 days (if it lasts that long).
Can you use regular chocolate chips or do they need to be mini ones?
Yes, they can be regular or even chop them up 🙂
Had it for the first time last night at a party It was mixed in with the cheese dips so the sweet kind of surprised me but after about a dozen try’s I hunted down the person that brought it she gave me the name and I immediately looked it up on line! She served hers with scoobie snacks so I got both with the gram cracker twists Best sweet snack I’ve had in a very long time!!!
Delicious!! Easy to make and not many can resist the creamy peanut butter flavor! Can this be frozen? Would like to save half for another upcoming event.
Oh my!!!! This is the absolute best dip!!! It’s like eating pure bliss(if that’s even a thing…just sounds good)
Seriously!! The taste is amazing.
I have made this so many times. It’s my go-to when bringing a dish to a party. I have had so many strangers from these parties find me just to ask me how it’s made. It is always such a hit. In fact, I am on here today refreshing my memory on the recipe because my husband just randomly asked for it! The only thing I do differently is I prefer to use the regular sized chocolate chips. Yummmmmmm
Thanks for that awesome review! 🙂 Buckeye Dip is our favorite too!
This is so very delicious!! Omg I can’t believe that I’ve never heard of this recipe before last week! I was at a memorial dinner potluck style & someone brought it ( I wasn’t familiar with the person so I felt awkward about asking for the recipe). I immediately came home & my hunt began. I found a few different versions but this is the exact same recipe. Very quick & easy to make & after reading the suggestions I’m fighting the temptation to have me a spoonful prior to it sitting the recommended time lol. Thx for the post, this will now be a staple dish in my recipe box!
Awesome! So glad you love Buckeye Dip as much as we do!
Can I freeze this dip?
I haven’t but I bet you could!
