Crockpot Spiced Applesauce is so delicious and easy to prepare. My family loves this warm applesauce recipe all year long, but especially in the Fall when apples are at their peak. I love to get my apples from the local Farmer’s Market or from an apple picking farm. The best part about this recipe is you only need a few ingredients, and the slow cooker does all the work for you.

Crockpot Spiced Applesauce is so delicious and easy to prepare in the slow cooker. My family loves this warm applesauce recipe all year long, but especially in the Fall when apples are at their peak.

Simply combine 8 apples and 1/2 cup water in the slow cooker and cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours. Stir in the brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice and continue cooking another 30 minutes. Serve and refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container.  It is that simple! You can easily double this recipe if you would like to feed a large crowd of if your family eats applesauce daily.

When I made this recipe, I thought ahead and made sure to put Crockpot Chicken with Apple and Sweet Potato recipe on the menu plan for the week. Because this recipe calls for applesauce as one of the ingredients and I thought this spiced applesauce would be great in it!  I was right and so glad I gave this recipe a try with my homemade spiced applesauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 apples peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  • Combine the apples and water in the slow cooker, cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Stir in the brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice; continue cooking another 30 minutes.
  • Serve and refrigerate the left overs.
